Simple Skincare

Just lately my skin has been really dry and sensitive. I am unsure if this was due to a product I was using or just the cold and windy weather we have a had a lot of lately. I did try to stop using certain products to test this out but it seemed to be making my skin a lot worse, so I thought I would try to use Simple products to alleviate my problematic skin.

I have used Simple products before, they tend to be the products I would reach for when I am unsure about what is going on with my skin, as they tend to get everything back into order. The moisturiser I usually use in the summer is a Simple product, for when I need something light for my skin to allow it to breathe as it doesn't feel too heavy on my skin.

Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser
I needed a moisturiser that was light on my skin but also did the job of hydrating my skin throughout the day. This certainly did the job for me as it wasn't too heavy and it helped smooth and heal the dry patchy areas around my eyes and on my cheeks.

One BIG thing I need in a moisturiser is for it to be absorbed quickly into my skin. Some moisturisers I have tried previously, have required at least a ten to fifteen minute wait for it to dry before I could apply my primer and start to apply any make-up. This is a biggie for me as the last thing I need in the morning is to be waiting for my moisturiser to dry. Like previous Simple moisturisers, this does soak quickly skin into my skin and leaves it hydrated for the day ahead.

Simple does claim that the moisturiser should last 12 hours, it doesn't quite last 12 hours on my face and I don't think my skin is rhino dry either, so if you are planning on staying hydrated all day and all night long you may want to try a moisturiser that isn't as light. The Simple Day Cream is much longer lasting if you are planing to keep your make up / face hydrated all day and all night long, but this is a much thicker texture so I don't use it on a daily basis.

Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser
I love foaming skincare, it almost reminds me of bubble bath with the way it creates a lather. I find they are a little gentler on my skin and make removing make up so much quicker and easier, so perfect if you have a lazy skincare routine like me.

I tend to use tea tree products as I find they help with my blemishes and spots, but lately they have been a little harsh on my skin, so I have tended to stay away from any tea tree products. This cleanser contains chamomile and no colours or perfumes, so a thumbs up for sensitive skin as the chamomile can help calm and sooth your skin.

After this cleanser my pores feel really tight, I know some people hate this but this really makes my skin feel clean and refreshed so is perfect to use just before bed or first thing in the morning.

Have you tried Simple skincare products before and what are your favourites?

  1. ooh I've never tried the Simple cleanser, I'll have to keep an eye out for it when I'm next shopping. I tend to use their spot cream though 'cause it's the only one that doesn't leave me with dry patches where the spot used to be!
