New Spec's from Specsavers *

I was contacted by Specsavers  and asked to review a pair of new glasses. It was super great timing as I was due to go back for my bi-annual eye test. As far as I can remember I have always been to Specsavers for my eye tests and glasses, and when I moved to Sheffield there was a Specsavers in town near to where I worked so it all panned out nicely.

I have been having a lot of headaches recently so I was unsure if this was linked to my eyes changing and me needing a stronger prescription. My optician was unsure if this was the cause of my headaches but I did need a change in prescription as my eyes had got a lot worse.

Before I went to the opticians I was eyeing up the new glasses and looking to see what people were wearing, to give me a rough idea of what I wanted before I got there. This doesn't mean I found it any easier to pick my new pair of glasses, as I still had to try on almost every single pair and then go back to the first pair that I was drawn to. Specsavers have a handy online shop and Instagram so you can have a look before you head to your appointment. They have a great range of designer specs for ladies, men and for the little ones too.

I have been to the Pinestone Street branch a few times before and I have been impressed with the service from the staff there. When I called up to book an appointment I did have to wait until the following Saturday, but I thought this would be a longer wait, so was pleasantly surprised.

So, after finding out that I did need a new prescription, I went to choose my new pair of specs. I wanted something a little different to what I had already, I have already had a typical square pair and purple curved ones, so I did want something a little different that could be dressed up for nights out and dressed down for work and for weekends.

The pair that I choose are Jeff Banks, I love the mirrored arms on the glasses, I think they give a smarter, classier finish compared to a plastic pair. They are almost like my previous two pairs put together as they are more curved, not quite a square but a little smaller (if that makes any sense, if it doesn't click here).

When I went to get my glasses finished they asked me if I was going to be in town for the next two hours as they could ready by then. Which I was over the moon about as I am impatient when waiting for things. So after a wonder around town and a coffee, I went back to collect my new specs.

I was super impressed with the express service from Specsavers as I really didn't expect to get them on the same day.

*Glasses were gifted to me from Specsavers, the words and opinions are my own.
