Sheffield Vintage Fair

This weekend was very eventful compared to my usual lazy weekend spent in bed watching something on Netflix. As i have mentioned before my sister has started to dabble in her own crafty, vintage shop. My sister has then decided to have a stall at The Sheffield Vintage Fair, hosted by Lou Lou's Vintage Fair. I have been before to this event and i loved it,  you can find some lovely gems here.  Lou Lou's vintage fairs are held all over the country, you can see the dates and the venues Here.

As the event was in Sheffield it was perfect for my mum and my sisters to come and visit me on the way, so i had perfect excuse to give a helping hand to my sister.  My sisters venture only started a few months ago so in a short time she has come along way, so we were unsure what to expect from the event really. As we knew a few things would go down a treat we thought we would try to take a mixture of things from tie dye t-shirts, vintage mugs, home made cushions to scrabble rings.

It was a long day but i loved the atmosphere at the fare, all of the stall holders were friendly and helpful. We were next to the vintage salon so we were staring at the hair doos all day. This event did mean there were plenty of tempting gems to catch my eye, so i did end up buying a few little bits for myself.

The event has about 15 stalls which all have vintage bits and bobs, clothing, jewellery and a vintage tea and cake stall. Which is perfect after having a look around to have sit with a good cuppa. I love the different stalls as they are all different and i didn't see the same item twice which i think you do with some vintage high street shops.

The event is in the town hall in Sheffield, which i know isn't the biggest of venues but i rather like the fact its not as big as the Nottingham Vintage Fair so you have a good look around without missing anything.  Sheffield town hall is such a great venue with the decor having such amazing character about it.

Don't forget to give my sister a like on Facebook Here

This was the hall before everyone had finished setting up, it does look a little bare but i think this shows you how big the hall is and what can be done in a short space of time.

This was me and sister Hannah, posing for a cheeky snap before we opened for the day.

This is my sister and her stall, before we opened for the day.

This was the gem of the day, a Christian Dior top £12.

This was me on the day, i brought this coat for £35 from a stall. I love how long this coat and it has the most cosy pockets. Its perfect for this kind of weather we are having at the moment, i have worn this a few times already and a wore it open with a scarf for work today.
